Tom joined MDP in 2014 to help manage the continued expansion of the business while making sure we remain committed to our mission and core values. His focus is strategic planning over our different profit centers, increasing efficiencies, and managing resources and human capital. Tom came to us from Northwestern Mutual where he was a financial advisor and insurance specialist holding Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designations. Previously, he was involved in residential real estate development focused on properties in North and South Carolina.
On the risk management side, Tom helps people find solutions for both their personal and commercial P&C needs. He serves as one of our licensed life and health specialists as well. Tom graduated from Vanderbilt University in Nashville earning a degree in Economics with a Business Administration focus.
A Baltimore native, Tom attended Gilman School and stays active in the community. He serves as President of the Board for The Good Shepherd School, is a board member for the Steuart Foundation, and has been on the alumni board at Calvert School. Tom lives in Lutherville with his wife, Brin, and their children, Tommy, Arden, and Leighton. In his free time, Tom loves playing golf, hanging out at the pool with the kids, and watching the Ravens and O’s.
